What this website collects, and how Uganda Martyrs National Major Seminary, Alokolum, Gulu uses it.

What we collect

When you write to us

The Contact page can open your own email program, addressed to the Rector or to the website admin. The website does not receive or store what you type. Once you send that email, we use what you tell us to understand your enquiry and to reply to you. A telephone call to the Rector is handled in the same way.

When you browse

You can read every page without giving your name or creating an account. The website carries no advertising and uses no tracking cookies. Like most websites, the service that hosts it keeps routine technical records, such as the address of the device making a request and the page requested, to keep the website secure and working.

Visitor statistics

If the seminary measures how the website is used, the figures are anonymous and are collected only after you agree when asked. Your answer is remembered in your own browser, and the website works in full if you decline.

Giving

The Donate page gives the seminary’s bank details. The website itself takes no payments and receives no card or bank information from you.

How we use and keep it

Your messages

An email or a call to the seminary is dealt with by those responsible for the matter you raise, such as admissions, communications or administration. We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed to answer you and for the seminary’s ordinary records. We do not sell personal information or pass it to others for their own use.

Photographs and names

The website shows photographs of seminary life and, in the Monthly Bulletin, articles under their writers’ names. If you appear in a photograph or are named on the website and would like it changed or removed, please write to us.

Other websites

The website links to the seminary’s pages on YouTube, X and TikTok, and to Google Maps for directions. When you open them, those services apply their own privacy terms. The small pictures shown for the seminary’s videos are fetched from YouTube when a page displays them.

Your choices

You may ask the seminary to correct or remove information you have sent to it. Some records may need to be kept where the seminary’s administration or the law requires it.

For any question about this notice, telephone the Rector on 0703 811 291 or 0772 264 212, write to the Rector at nakulamudde@gmail.com, or write to the website admin at official@alokolumseminary.ac.ug.
